What a great start for the series. I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2. I love how the heroine, Tara Jacobs, is a strong woman who has endured and overcome a long list of negatives in her life.Her stepbrother is a terrible human being with his blackmailing and schemes. I’m so glad she doesn’t let him get to her.
I can’t wait to see what she does next, and I’m intrigued with her possible new romance with Bradley Ives.
The sex scenes are steamy and intense, which may not be for everyone, but if you love that, then Rachel Kent delivers!

I think the book was a good read and I am definitely going to download the second book and read it because I can't wait to see what happens but I thought the book would have been better if it was told from Tara's perspective rather than an outside narrator.
A novella setting up for the next book in the series. Tara has her life together. She is engaged to James, buying a condo and has a successful career. But then her step-brother Markus shows up and blackmails her because of something that happen many years ago when she was 15. At first she pays him off, but when it starts to effect others what will she do?

This was a great novella. Definitely not your typical predictable romance novel. I was constantly trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Tara was an strong female character and I can't wait to see where her story goes in the next book. Excited to read more from this author.
